The series of first-person reports (FIRs) for and by actor Kangana Ranaut continues as she posted a picture on social media and in the last few lines of the caption revealed why she has filed a report and how her life is in danger. The actor has been in news for the number of FIRs filed against her by individuals and organisations on her comments about azaadi, farmer’s protest, Sikh community and hate speech. A while back, her account was suspended by Twitter under the hate speech category.
Kangana Ranaut, who was seen in the blockbuster film Queen, posted a series of pictures on social media. The first included her in a light blue kurta standing with folded hands with Golden Temple in Amritsar in the backdrop. Then, the copy of FIR which she has registered at Manali Police Station on November 29, 2021, at 6:32 PM. The FIR against an unknown person was registered under sections of the Information Technology Act, 2001. The case was registered and is being investigated by Assistant Sub-Inspector Girdhari Lal Sharma, as per the FIR.
The actor has been recently summoned by the Peace and Harmony Panel of the Delhi Assembly for her remarks on the Sikh community and her calling the farmer’s terrorists on her social media. The scheduled date for the actor’s appearance before the committee is on December 6, 2021.
The committee was formed after the northeast Delhi riots in February 2020 and the sole purpose of it is to avoid such conflict in the future. It is headed by the Aam Aadmi Party MLA Raghav Chadha.
